What You'll Need
Before you start, gather the following:
- Trim removal tools (plastic pry tools to avoid scratching)
- Torx and hex bit set
- Socket set and ratchet
- Microfibre cloths
- Isopropyl alcohol (IPA) for surface cleaning
- Masking tape (to protect surrounding paintwork)
- A second pair of hands for larger panels
Step 1: Prepare Your Work Area
Work in a clean, well-lit environment — ideally a garage or covered space. Lay down a blanket or foam mat to protect any panels you remove. Ensure the car is on a flat, stable surface and that the engine is cool before you begin.
Step 2: Protect the Surrounding Paintwork
Before removing any factory components, apply masking tape along the edges of the surrounding bodywork. This protects your paint from accidental scratches during removal and installation. Take your time here — it's much easier to prevent a scratch than to fix one.

Once the part is fitted, remove all masking tape and give the area a final clean with a microfibre cloth. Step back and check the panel gaps and alignment from multiple angles. A correctly fitted carbon fibre part should sit flush with the surrounding bodywork with even, consistent gaps.
